Ask your supply chain a question

Every document, event, and milestone Flexport touches is digitized and reportable, so you can ask which shipments are late to Los Angeles and get an answer instead of a data pull. It's the same system our own operators run on, which is why what you're looking at is current rather than a nightly copy.

Challenges

Spreadsheets and email hide the data you need.

  • PO status lives across a dozen email threads

Ops teams spend hours chasing suppliers for booking confirmations and status updates. Without one source of truth, nobody can answer a simple question fast: where is this PO right now?

  • You find out about non-compliant bookings too late

When a supplier books outside your preferred carrier, routing, or lead time, most teams find out after the booking is already placed, when it's too late to fix cheaply.

  • Supplier performance data is a manual report, if it exists at all

Without structured data, supplier reviews run on anecdotes instead of numbers. Leadership wants reporting the team doesn't have time to build by hand.

The Flexport Solution

Structured data changes what your team can do.

  • Every document, event, and milestone is digitized and reportable, so you can build a view of cost by lane, supplier performance, or container utilization and see 90-day trends on each. Schedule it to your inbox or download it whenever you need it.

NATIVE INTEGRATIONS

Connect your supply chain with your business

Flexport integrates natively with NetSuite and connects to SAP, Oracle, and Microsoft Dynamics through our public API and standard EDI specifications. You choose what data flows where, from shipment milestones to invoices to purchase orders.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

What is Order Management and how is it different from a visibility tool?

Order Management (OM) doesn't just show you data, it enforces your booking rules before a booking happens and flags exceptions in real time. Most visibility tools tell you what already went wrong; OM is built to catch it beforehand.

Do I need to be shipping with Flexport freight to use Order Management?

Yes. OM is a technology layer bundled with Flexport NVO freight or Booking Management, so there's no separate software license to buy on top of your freight relationship.

How does PO data get into the platform?

Through NetSuite self-serve integration, standard API/EDI connectors for other major ERPs, or flat-file upload if you don't have an integration yet. Even PDF POs can be parsed into structured data automatically.

What kind of reporting do I get on supplier performance?

Supplier Scorecards track compliance rate, booking performance, and on-time metrics by supplier, and they're exportable for procurement reviews or vendor negotiations.

How long does implementation take?

Most OM customers go live in 6 to 12 weeks. A dedicated Implementation Manager runs supplier onboarding for you, so your team isn't managing the rollout alone.

Can suppliers see and act on exceptions in real time?

Yes. Suppliers work directly in the Flexport platform rather than over email, so late bookings, non-compliant requests, and milestone deviations surface for both sides at the same time.
