Challenges

Multiple carriers means multiple blind spots

  • Booking status lives on a different portal for every carrier

Shippers running multiple BCO and NVO relationships have no single place to see booking status, allocation, or performance. Every carrier tells its own version of the story.

  • Contract allocation goes unused, or over-committed

Without real-time visibility into MQC utilization, teams underuse contracted rates and pay for expensive spot or FAK bookings instead, or overcommit and scramble to cover the gap.

  • Carrier QBRs run on their data, not yours

Walking into a carrier review with no independent acceptance-rate or on-time data means the conversation happens on the carrier's terms, not yours.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to move my carrier contracts to Flexport to use Booking Management?

No. Booking Management is available standalone. You keep your direct BCO carrier contracts and NVO relationships; Flexport acts as your booking agent and gives you one platform to see and manage all of it.

How is this different from a shipment tracking tool?

Tracking tools show you what happened. Flexport actively manages the booking process: escalating rejections, executing your routing guide, and rebooking when space is denied, then showing you the data.

How do you track allocation utilization against my contracts?

The Allocation Management Dashboard shows real-time MQC utilization by carrier and lane, so you can see what's committed, used, pending, and remaining instead of waiting on a weekly spreadsheet from each carrier.

What carrier performance data will I actually get?

Acceptance and rejection rates, booking response times, SO release speed, and ETD-to-ATD variance by carrier and lane, objective data you can bring straight into your next carrier QBR.

Will my suppliers need to learn a new system?

All your suppliers book through the Flexport platform using booking templates, replacing carrier portals and email chains. Our implementation team leads supplier onboarding and training.

Can this work alongside my existing ERP or TMS?

Yes. Milestone data pushes to your ERP and PO updates flow back in through standard integration. Booking Management complements your existing systems rather than replacing them.
